Papiermaske is a papier-mâché sculpture that was created as part of a performance during the lockdown. It reflects on the invisibility of cultural spaces during this time.
The mask gives form to the silence that enveloped theaters, museums and studios – places that were closed but still remained full of potential.
Through this handmade object, the artist explores absence, resilience and the silent presence of art even when it was no longer visible.
